e. ross studios envisions the Greater New Orleans region as the next great film, television, and technology hub. To bring the vision to life, e. ross studios is partnering with Catalyst Story Institute to create Story City, e. ross studios’ media and entertainment workforce program.
Rich with history, culture, and talent, New Orleans has been a beacon in the entertainment industry. From musicians to actors to directors, the city and its surrounding areas have a large source of talent ready for their opportunity to turn their dreams into reality. Story City is designed to close the skills gap by equipping students with basic and advanced skills in writing, scoring, sound stage construction, and much more. The team will also work with students to place them in positions within the team’s network.
Catalyst Stories Institute
The TV & Film production industry is a multibillion-dollar sector of our national creative economy traditionally reserved for major cities. Now decentralized by the digital revolution, barriers to entry are lower and more communities can diversify their local economies by incorporating the production industry into their educational, workforce and economic development plans. The challenge is determining how to best develop a locally driven, self-sustaining production industry that matches your community's development goals. We're at a crucial point in time in the film industry - as the current generation prepares to step out of the limelight, the next is preparing to step into it.
To fill this void, e. ross studios has partnered with Catalyst Stories to create and produce a series of professional workshops for traditional and nontraditional writers. Through the cohort, we strive to achieve the following goals.
